WHO IS LANAE HARPER?
Hello! My name is Lanae Harper, and I am currently a teacher candidate in California State University's Single Subject Credentialing Program. I am in the process of completing my clinical practice (student teaching) and will obtain both my English and Social Science credentials in the Spring of 2015.
I am a Southern California native, and I graduated summa cum laude from CSU San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Writing Studies. I love to travel and learn about different cultures. There is nothing more thrilling than trying new things, meeting new people, and exploring all that world has to offer. Most of the pictures you see on my site have come from my own adventures!
Over the past six years I have held many positions in the field of education, including but not limited to tutor, youth leader, special education instructional aide, college preparatory advisor, and residential advisor. I have worked with students of multiple age levels, as well as across a range of demographics. Most notably, I spent two years teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) at a high school in Suwon, South Korea.
All of my experiences have helped to shape me into the educator that I am today, and have prepared me to facilitate the success of all my future students!
WHAT KIND OF LEARNER AM I?
It is important to remember that no matter how old we are, or what job we have, there will always be opportunities to learn something new.
